Washington beach

Last weekend I went with a friend to Ocean Shores, WA, for my birthday. It was my first time going to a Washington beach. The development of the city was odd, from my perspective, and kind of sprawling. It seemed like the city planner was scattered and "creative" in deciding the layout of the city, haha.

But the beach was beautiful. We went to the North Jetty on the northern edge of the entrance to the bay. It was windy!

On the way back home we stopped at the Shorebird Festival in Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge. There were about 17,000 shorebirds that stopped by the area that weekend. Lots of bird watching there because the water recedes when the tide goes out and it's a great place for birds to eat.
